Got a proof copy of my sketchbook. It’s funny how I started my convention career shooting for the stars with over-produced, high cost printed sketchbooks, and over time I’ve moved down to Kinko’s style. Not saying there’s anything wrong with that. If anything, it’s much more appropriate. I’m not Eric Canete, so I don’t have the budget to make high concept sketchbooks like Chocolate.

What I learned from my last sketchbook was adding some sort of personalized flourish brings the customers in. I’m going to hand mark each cover with a touch of red using a tagger-marker.

One day I’d love to make another concept driven sketchbook (a team-up one is in the planning stages). But for now this is more than enough!
